In the midst of the trial of all the ages, Pilate asked Jesus the question of all the ages: 'What is truth?' Theologians have pondered the motive and meaning behind that eternal, penetrating question ever since. Perhaps the question would have been more accurate by asking, 'Who' rather than 'What.'
In Latin, the question 'What is truth?' is written this way: 'Quid est Veritas?' One anonymous writer pointed out that the answer to the question lies in an anagram (i.e., words that are formed by rearranging the letters of another word): 'Est Vir qui Adest' ('It is the Man who is before you.'). Pretty cool huh? (But let's not launch off into some strange 'Bible as secret code' nonsense).
Jesus spoke Truth (Jn. 8:45). The fact is, Jesus Christ IS Truth (Jn. 14:6); 'just as truth is in Jesus' (Eph. 4:21). In Christ, Truth is knowable (Jn. 16:13); as Jesus Christ Himself is knowable. He who says he knows Jesus ought to seek to know Truth and live it (1 Jn. 2:3-6).
Seek truth and you will find Jesus Christ. Once found, live in Him who is Truth. The only genuine way to possess Truth is to live it; otherwise, we live a lie and Truth is nowhere to be found in us (1Jn. 2:4). In the words of one writer, 'There is no [proper] search after Truth which does not, first of all, begin to live the Truth which it knows.' Truth lived. That's our goal.
