In this passage we turn back to the people of Israel again. One thing remains before the Conquest begins. The people themselves must follow the requirements of the covenant as they follow God in the Conquest. As followers of Jesus Christ in the new covenant, we too must be a holy people. Our holiness comes from Him and we pursue holiness in our lives because we are already accounted as righteous before God. It is this holiness that we enjoy in part now which we will enjoy forever in Heaven.
