How are things on the earth going to end? What will happen when the end comes? Some of the events associated with the return of Jesus Christ to the earth have been revealed by God. Jesus Himself gave details as He answered questions from His disciples shortly before His death while they were standing on the Mount of Olives overlooking the Temple complex. In speaking of the great tribulation, two reasons are given for the time that was, and is, forthcoming. Those being that it will be a time when God will pour out His wrath on a rebellious and unbelieving world. And two, to bring His chosen people, the Jews to their knees, being humbled and desperate for God's salvation from the punishment for their sin. The seven year tribulation, will climax with Christ's return to the earth which will trigger the gathering of the armies of the earth dwellers to be gathered to oppose Him and His rule of the earth. Scripture gives details of the areas these armies will be gathered from and sites of these future conflicts and a place of refuge that will be sought by many. God has spoken and all that He has said, He will do.
