On this program, are going to study Exodus chapter 19. The events of this chapter immediately precede the giving of the Ten Commandments as we will see in Exodus chapter 20.
Moses will make three of his seven trips up and down Sinai in this chapter and He will serve as God’s messenger to the people. We will see the faithfulness of Moses and find some very interesting things during this time in God’s word.
We will discuss the necessity fo God's law and why you must approach Him on HIS terms or you will DIE. But we also discuss His provision for sin and eternal life to those who repent and turn to the Cross of Jesus Christ and trust in the power of His resurrection.
If you were told to “ask Jesus in your heart” or “pray the sinners prayer” to be saved, did you do so believing that He died for your sins, was buried and rose again in victory of sin and death? If so, then you are saved in SPITE of the fact that you were told, incorrectly, to ask or pray to be saved.
We are NOT saved by asking or praying. We are saved by BELIEVING. And if a preacher stresses that fact and then asks you to pray, then there is no harm done. But too many people trust in an act of saying a sinners prayer or an act of asking Jesus into their heart, while they never truly understood or genuinely believed the Gospel.
