• In Acts 17:22, we read of Paul preaching in the Areopagus with the threat that if his message was deemed as folly, he could be put to death. And yet, Paul preached because he had a priority. • In Daniel 6:10, we read of Daniel praying even though the decree had gone forth that if any prayed to someone/something other than Darius, they would be killed. Yet, Daniel prayed because he had a priority. • In Exodus 2:11, we read of Moses faced with the choice of living in the house of Pharaoh or suffering with the people of God. And yet, Moses chose to suffer because he was driven by a priority (cf. Hebrews 11:24-25).
In each of the above instances we see men with a priority, a priority that greatly affected their lives. It determined where they went, what they did, and that for which they prayed.
