I think it fair to say that Ruth had no idea of the extent of Boaz’s goodness to her…just as we have no real idea of God’s goodness to us. She had no idea that Boaz instructed his men to do this. We go out and we glean, we work the fields…and how often do we fail to acknowledge God’s great provision over us. Far too frequently we miss what God has given us…we fail to see these handfuls of purpose. We are not looking…we are too busy complaining.
