Multiple Homicides And some of the people of the servants of David died; and Uriah the Hittite died also. 2 Samuel 11

Suicide is Homicide. King David Committed Homicide and he was a man after God's own heart.

Wrong Some kill themselves to get out of physical pain. The pain can be too much for any human when it does on for decades. Yes, wanting something, to be out of pain. That is not self love.

Some thoughts Those that jumped out of the World Trade Center towers because of the intense heat were not technically "committing suicide." Their bodies were experiencing the natural reflex of avoiding extreme heat. They had no time to reflect on: "when thru firey trials my pathway shall lie, Thy grace all sufficient shall be my supply."

Great Sermon! I'm sorry but sometimes a Christian can be so mentally ill (physiologically speaking) that he doesn't know what he's actually doing. Therefore, I would never make the blanket statement that "Christians cannot suicide."

Great Sermon! I personally believe from studying scripture that a believer can not commit suicide. If God is the author and finisher of our faith, why would He finish our faith by allowing us to murder our self?
Arthur G. (12/16/2011)
Great Sermon! I think for that sermons. Suicide has often come to mind, but I always though, that I would do an unjustice to my soul, or my relationship to God, If I went ahead with it. I always called out for God for help, and don't want to commit self murder, not for anyone or anything. What I do say is lord if it is your will, please take me, quite like that torn in the flesh. I would not only hurt my relationship, but hurt others; for example, my son, those that I provide with and importantly my relationship to my lord and savior. Life is unfair, but until God calls me, I have to endure it until the end.

Great Sermon! Although I know not one of us are worthy of Gods grace but through Jesus Christ we have been redeemed, for those of us who call on him and ask him to come and live through us. A true christian would not take his own life because the holy spirit lives in him and the desire is to do the will of God which is to learn Gods word and share the good news and then pass it foward so that no man shall perish. even though the flesh still desires to do the worldly stuff, and battles daily as a growing christian who reads there bible, bible study and pray we start to understand that everything we go through is temporary. We start feeling that love that he talks about for the rest of the people in the world. And therefore suicide should not even come to thought. Because if you are truly sincere in your love for God then your job here on earth is not done until he says it is. From the very beginning his intentions for us was to have eternal life.
