Great Sermon! Excellent. Very edifying. My only concern is at the end where the speaker asks the listeners to repent and believe. Should we not ask to believe and then repent?

Great Sermon! I was blessed by this teaching. I think it made me question irresistible grace even more. I cannot reconcile irresistible grace with the unforgivable sin. If a man decides to reject the truth......

Very Careful Analysis This exposition of Matthew 12 and what constitutes the unpardonable sin is as accurate as any I have ever heard. It is very well done. Since this week I am trying to assist a poor doubting Christian who thinks he has committed this sin, this is another weapon in my argument arsenal. I believe A. H. Strong's comments in his Systematic Theology on "the Sin of Final Obduracy" p, 650 has added a lot of light on this subject, and yet I have found that it is a marvelously hard thing to convince melancholy saints that the very fact that they are trembling at these warnings shows that they are not of the mindset of those who attributed Christ's miracles to the devil. But so strong a fortress does the enemy of our souls have with misunderstandings of these warnings, he is exceeding loath to let go of his grip on troubled minds. Also recommend William Guthrie's chapter on this subject written in 1668, The Christian's Great Interest.
