We see that idols have meant more to us than him, and see him waiting to heal us, revive us and raise us up to live before him. Idols, really, are hideous. God, really, is wonderful. It’s just that, sometimes, we need convincing. Hosea announces God’s word: ‘Let us return to the Lord’.
