Pastor Chronister starts off this sermon with his favorite verse, Deuteronomy 18:15, where God says through Moses that He, Jesus, will be a Prophet "like unto me [Moses]". Moses says, Look at my weird life... this Great Prophet will do the things I've done. That's how you'll know Him. Then pastor goes into a wonderful description of Judas after Satan enters him. This is a fantastic sermon on the anatomy of the situation where Judas comes with a small army to take Jesus and deliver Him to be crucified. Just picture this... Jesus asks "Whom do you seek?" They answer "Jesus of Nazareth." Then Jesus says "I AM", and Judas with his army fall back on the ground. What would you do if a guy says "I AM" and you're flat on your back? And keep in mind that these people, the chief priests and the elders of Israel are there with them, and they know what it means when Jesus says, "I AM". There's a lot more to this than you think, and our pastor will lay it out for you. This is a great descriptive sermon. This pastor has a wonderful way of helping you see what's really going on in these passages of Scripture. OK, I think that's enough to give you an idea of what you'll be hearing. Let's open our TextBooks and pull out our note pads and press play.
