This is the last part of Paul's sermon, speaking to overseers. Paul commands them to guard themselves, to keep watch over their mind by spending time in the Word. They must also watch over the flock, guide and warn them to keep them from wolves. Paul also commends them to God and entrusts them to the Word of His grace. In his closing words, Paul tells them to follow his example and Christ's example, who laid down His life for the flock.
