Pastor Robert Rohlin begins a study in the book of Haggai entitled 'Bring Back the Glory.' The theme of Haggai is restoring biblical worship. Cyrus ordered the rebuilding of the Temple and work began under Zerubbabel and Joshua. However, when opposition came, the rebuilding stopped and for 17 years only the foundation of the Temple was laid. It became overgrown with weeds and the people took the cedar designated for the Temple and paneled their own houses with it. People became more concerned with their own comfort and luxury than with the work of God. In 520 B.C., God sends Haggai with a message to the people that they need to return to rebuilding the Temple and restoring biblical worship. In this lesson, Pastor Rohlin begins by reviewing the consequences of a people characterized by apathy. Then he reveals God's prescription to cure our apathy, energize our spirits, and cause God bo be present and praised in our midst. This lessons gives a succing 'Poor Man's Definition of Revival' you don't want to miss. Pastor Rohlin is the executive pastor of First Baptist Church Las Colinas, a family integrated church in the Baptist Missionary Association. The church is located in Irving, TX.
