Pastor Robert Rohlin begins a study in the book of Haggai entitled "Bring Back the Glory." The theme of Haggai is restoring biblical worship. Cyrus ordered the rebuilding of the Temple and work began under Zerubbabel and Joshua. However, when opposition came, the rebuilding stopped and for 17 years only the foundation of the Temple was laid. It became overgrown with weeds and the people took the cedar designated for the Temple and paneled their own houses with it. People became more concerned with their own comfort and luxury than with the work of God. In 520 B.C., God sends Haggai with a message to the people that they need to return to rebuilding the Temple and restoring biblical worship. In this lesson, Pastor Rohlin shows the consequences of a people characterized by apathy. Does your family or church suffer from the symptoms of apathy? View this lesson to find out. Pastor Rohlin is the executive pastor of First Baptist Church Las Colinas, a family integrated church in the Baptist Missionary Association. The church is located in Irving, TX.
