“ INFORMATIVE ”
Thanks for the examples. I am going to look for the marginal notes of the KJV translators. I like reading footnotes and commentaries. There are many tools to help us study the Bible. Also, I like comparing translations. Thanks for pointing out the fact that there is an agenda/a bias behind some translations. We are to be discerning.

“ Dangerous or beneficial? ”
When evaluating Bible translations it is dangerous to blindly, or unfairly justify preconceived allegations or pretexts against a version for the sake of it merely. As attempted in some measure in this presentation, when finding apparent inaccuracies it is judicious to assess in depth and with noble reliability, not only the accuracy of the word rendering, but the character, bias, origins, purpose, motives, theological stand, manuscript source, and personal agenda of those in charge. Following such guideline, the safer stand of the AV above other translations can be upheld. There is no need to fear for cults to assert Christ as a created being because of the rendering of ‘only begotten’ for the Greek word monogen?s in John 1:18 when this is the actual meaning of the word. The deity and preexistence of Christ can be proved from other parts of Scripture.

Pastor Harris, I am so thankful that you all have a video of your message, as it adds greatly in being able to see the examples you present. Thank you so much for an honest teaching on the issue of translations. It has encouraged me, even though I use the KJV at present in my preaching and teaching to remain 'multi-translational' in my convictions as having a better depth of understanding the use of good translations and good Bible dictionaries give helps me much in my faith, my love for Him and to love those the Lord Jesus Christ died for and to witness to them the Gospel

Thy word is truth. ..... Brother, if the kjv is all you need than by all means. ... use it. I pray it blesses you To be honest, the argument for kjv only is so absurd that it's not even worth arguing about.

Gib ham from Indianapolis. I listened to The Myth of the King James Only you recommended. Within less than 5 minutes the guy exposed himself as a proven liar. He said we have the inspired, inerrant Word of God in our hands right now, today. Yet his entire position demands that we do not have the inerrant Word of God in our hands, today. If we did, there would be no need to keep on editing it, no need to delete any more verses. No need to touch it at all.

You are absolutely right about those who are willingly ignorant. All the information you need to understand the Septuagint for what it is, can be found in the following articles: The Septuagint a Critical Analysis by Dr Floyd Nolan Jones Was the Septuagint the Bible of Christ and the Apostles by Dr Phil Stringer The LXX A Model of Reverse Engineering by Scott Jones Did the Messiah Speak Hebrew or Greek by E A Knapp Further, there was no LXX at Qumran and no one has been able to produce an LXX that pre-dates 320 AD. The Septuagint today is in nothing more than Vaticanus back-translated to match the OT quotes to the new. Finally if you subscribe to the new versions you subscribe to the removal of verses from scripture, which puts you in direct conflict with a whole host of scriptures: Psalm 12:7, 2 Timothy 3:16, Proverbs 3:5, John 10:35, Revelation 22:18,19, Isaiah 66:5, and many more. See the opening statement of this post.

Great work guys, The kjv only point of view is ridiculous and No one with even the slightest bit of understanding in regards to textual criticisms would hold to that view. It's borderline cultish. Here is another great refutation from a knowledgeable pastor. The Myth of the King James Only http://subspla.sh/1hZbAnD

I posted a refutation of your points, but SermonAudio declined to post it. Says it all, really. One final thing. The KJV translators did not claim to be inspired. If they had have done so, the attacks on the KJV only position would have been ten times more savage. Scripture is full of people, nations and kings who were tools of God without realizing it. John the Baptist did not know he was Elijah. Jesus knew better. For God hath put it into their hearts to fulfil his will . . . (Rev 17:17). The OT was given to the Jews in Hebrew, the NT was given to mankind in Greek. In the fulness of time God gave the entire Bible in one language, the universal language of English. Truly good Christian reader, we never thought from the beginning that we should need to make a new translation, nor yet to make a bad one a good one; but to make a good one better, or out of many good ones one principal good one, not justly to be excepted against; that hath been our endeavour, that our mark. The KJV translators.
