Know your enemy, or you will lose battles. The gruesome acts in king Saul's day of beheading and parading the heads of leaders in streets and in pagan temples can still be done today. People are no less cruel, deceived, and vicious today than in Saul's day. This sobering fact reminds us that we are in a treacherous warfare with enemies who will inflict as much pain, sorrow, and death as possible on their enemies. Rampant evil, unrestrained sin, killing, misery, pain, death and hate for God are the hallmarks of Satan's kingdom. God's solution to evil is still the same. Proclaim truth, win souls to Him, and make disciples.
