That was Father Abram's life.
The Canaanites were a constant threat – always watching him, he had to deal with famine and then his escapade in Egypt, he then had to deal with fighting relatives and their workers.
At the same time, he was childless and he had no close family around.
Trials came upon trials! But Abram had a Father who loved him.
