In this Sunday School lesson, we look at the biblical call for religious intolerance by God's people regarding church attendance, exemplified by Paul and the leaders of the church at Jerusalem. First we provide clarity regarding the syntax of the sentence found in verses 3-5. Then, we look at who the false brethren were, the problem of the Jerusalem church bringing false brethren into the church, and the problem of the ulterior motives of those false brethren. Then, we see how the leaders of the church at Jerusalem used the opportunity to remove those false brethren from their church for the sake of the furtherance of the Gospel.
