God's word is true and archeologists have found the places, like the colonnades, found in verse 2 of John chapter 5. There are a lot of people who want other things more than they want to get well. Jesus did not ask a cruel question when He asked the paralyzed man if he wanted to be healed. Also, when Jesus said to the man stop sinning, He is not suggesting that the man was sick because of his sin. There are times where people do things that bring bad conditions on themselves. The Jewish leaders, not all Jews, hated God because He threatened their authority. We need to believe what the word of God says, as when Jesus the Son is submitted to God the Father. We are not and never will be our own boss. May we remember that we cannot become our own boss by taking orders from the serpent. We should desire God's will and to obey Him. When we yield to the Lord we find that His will is good and perfect. Jesus reveals who He is but the problem is many who saw, did not believe, because they did not to get well. Jesus is doing what the Father wants Him to do.
