2. Our Lord's reasons (vv. 25b-26). First, Jesus argues that worry is needless (v. 25b). If God provides for the greater (our lives), why will He not provide for the lesser (our food and clothing). Second, Jesus argues that worry is senseless (vv. 25b-26). If God provides for the lesser creatures (the birds), why will He not provide for greater creatures. Believers have a superior relationship to God and a superior value before God.
