Did you ever read the Dr. Seuss book "Green Eggs and Ham"? In it, the main character is pestered by Sam to try the title food. Sam offers the food to the main character is a number of different places and a number of different situations. The main character refuses and runs away from Sam decrying Sam's constant pestering. Finally, at the very end, *spoiler alert* the main character cannot take it any more and tries it and find that he quite enjoys it actually.

At times in our spiritual walk, it feels like God pursues us to do something we don't want to do. Maybe we keep being asked to go on a mission trip to Mexico and you see Mexican travel programs on TV constantly. Maybe that coworker you have been wanting to witness to but are scared to keeps making statements that a perfect openings to share the Gospel. Maybe that sermon you heard three months ago can't be shaken from your mind because you need to be convicted of what it was about. Once we realize that we cannot escape God and that giving in just might reap us a reward that we find pleasurable, we can find relief to yield to the Holy Spirit.
