For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous. The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just. Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly. The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
Proverbs 3:32-25
MODERATION
“Let your moderation be known unto all” (Philippians 4:5).
This is the only time the word “moderation” is used in the Bible; and it does not have to do with temperance in food and drink; but it has to do with attitude and conduct. The meaning is “mild and gentle.” Let all people in the church and in the world see and recognize you as a gentle and kind person. Be known, not as harsh and demanding (this seems to be the code of the day) but as “kind and tenderhearted” (Ephesians 4:32).

CONFESSING CHRIST
"Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I also confess before my Father. which is in heaven." (Matt. 10:32)
Are men correct in thinking that because they made a profession of faith some years back, were baptized, joined a local church and adopted a sound system of theology, they are confessing Christ before men. We are going to find out someday, to our eternal woe, that confessing Christ before men involves a great deal more than an isolated decision. Confessing Christ before men is a constant identification with Christ in a world that does not know or love Christ. To be identified with Christ is to be so closely associated with Him that His interests are your interests; His friends are your friends; His enemies are your enemies; His glory is your glory; His will is your will; and His Word is your rule of life. "Where I am, there ye may be also" (John 14:3). Where is Christ? Those confessing Him and identified with Him will be there also!
We are crucified with Christ, buried with Him in baptism, walking with Him in the light of the Scripture, righteousness and truth, at His feet in humility, assembled with His people in worship and praise, bearing His reproach, forgiving as He forgave, loving as He loved, and waiting for His return. In other words confessing Christ before men is to be so closely associated with Christ that one is called in truth by others - A CHRISTIAN!

STEDFAST, UNMOVEABLE, ABOUNDING
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.(1Cor. 15:58).
Because believers have been given the complete victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1Cor. 15:57), we have such a sure and certain hope of forgiveness and pardon from all sins (1John 1:7), full redemption in Christ (Gal. 3:13), total reconciliation in Christ (2Cor. 5:18), everlasting righteousness in Christ (Rom. 4:6), washing of regeneration in Christ (Titus 3:5), and sure and certain hope of a glorious resurrection in Christ (John 11:25; 1Cor.15:51-56) therefore, be steadfast, unmoving and abounding in the work of the Lord.
Be steadfast; settled in Christ, rooted and grounded in Christ, stand fast (Col. 2:6-7). Take a stand for the cause of God and truth and don’t compromise. (Gal. 5:1-4). Contend for the faith once delivered unto the saints; (Jude 1:3).
Be unmoveable; wherever the gospel is being denied or challenged be firm, strong, confident in the faith, and in view of the gospel truth. Let nothing shake your faith or move you away from the gospel. “Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel” (Phil. 1:27-28; 4:1)
Always abounding in the work of the Lord. Always engaged in doing the will of God; in promoting His glory, preaching His gospel and advancing His kingdom. The phrase means, not only to be engaged in this, but to be engaged diligently, laboriously; excelling in this. You must work and labor in the Lord under His direction, by His influence and by His power; for without Him ye can do nothing (John 15:5; Phil. 4:13); this is not to be saved but rather because we are saved by His power and sovereign grace. (Eph. 2:8-10; 2Tim. 1:9; Titus 2:14; Titus 3:8).
Knowing that our labor in the Lord is not in vain, God will bless the work He has given to us (Eph. 2:8-10). He will bless His word to the hearts of His people. “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place”(2Cor. 2:14).
