Faithful Service for the Lord “This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”
Luke 7:27–28 KJV
The world is focused on major events, large corporations, money, and accomplishments of men. God is focused on faithfulness. The standard by which He measures our lives is what we have done with what we have been given and the attitude/motive with which we do it. Jesus said, “But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted” (Matthew 23:11–12).
Paul writes in, I Corinthians 4:2 "Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful."
Jesus made Himself of no reputation but became a servant(Phil. 2:7). A true mark of a spiritual person is an attitude of service towards others. It's not about your likes or dislikes, your feelings, or even what you are comfortable in doing. Serve others not out of duty but of gladness of heart.
The world may not notice or care, but God never overlooks the faithful service of His children.
