"She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff." Proverbs 31:19
It is not necessary to own a spindle or know how to use a distaff to be a virtuous woman. What is necessary, however, is a willingness to be resourceful with the talents and materials that you do have to the best of your ability to provide for the needs of your home. The virtuous woman is resourceful. She takes what she has and makes the most and best out of it. She doesn’t begrudge those who have different talents or more resources. Instead, she diligently applies her gifts to the needs of her home. As always, her heart and her activities are focused on the needs of her home. She is invested in the well-being of her children and husband. It is common to bewail our inadequacy in different areas of life. But God is not concerned with our inadequacy. He is concerned with our utilization of what He has given to us.
