Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 1:24-25

Christ Must be All!

We cannot keep our eye too exclusively or too intently fixed upon Jesus. All salvation is in Him. All salvation proceeds from Him. All salvation leads to Him. And for the assurance and comfort of our salvation we are to repose believingly and entirely on Him. Christ must be all! Christ the beginning – Christ the center – Christ the end.

Oh, sweet truth to you who are sensible of your poverty, vileness, and insufficiency, and of the ten thousand flaws and failures of which, perhaps, no one is cognizant but God and your own soul! Oh, to turn and rest in Christ – a full Christ – a loving Christ – a tender Christ, whose heart’s love never chills, from whose eyes dart no reproof, from whose lips breathes no sentence of condemnation! Christ must be all! Octavius Winslow (1808-1878)

Who is This?

“And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?” (Matthew 21:10).

All religious reformers and messiahs come to live; Christ came to die. All others leave monuments and memorials: no one can find His birthplace, grave, nor one possession. All others write diaries and memoirs; He wrote on the sand. All others choose their followers from the rich, powerful, and influential; He chose the poor and needy. All others praise human righteousness; He condemned it. All others seek those who can help them; He sought those whom He could help. All others promise success and happiness to their followers; He promised tribulation and suffering. All others held their disciples with fear and force; He invited His to leave Him if they would. All others have palaces, mansions, and headquarters; He had no place to lay His head. All others reward the most talented with recognition, titles, and honor; He said, “The least should be the greatest.” All others say, “Follow me; I will show you the way.” He said, “Come unto Me, I am the way.” All others claim to be the messengers of God; He said, “He that hath seen me hath seen God.” All others stay dead; He arose; and all of His claims, works, and promises are true because God raised Him from the dead.

Pastor Henry T. Mahan

Regeneration is not a change of the old nature, but the introduction of a new nature. It is the implanting of the nature of life of the second Adam by the operation of the Holy Ghost, founded upon the accomplished redemption of the Lord Jesus, and in full keeping with the Sovereign will of God.

Pastor Scott Richardson

NONE LIKE THE GOD OF ISRAEL

Moses had faithfully led Israel in the wilderness for forty years. The Lord is about to remove Moses from the scene and to raise up Joshua in his stead to lead the people into the land of promise. But before Moses departs he gives us this glorious statement about the God of Israel, "There is none like the God of Jeshurun (Israel) who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky" (Deut. 33:26). What is the God of Israel like? God has not left us to guess about this, but plainly declares His awesome and amazing character in the Holy Scriptures.

1). There is none like Him for the beauty of His HOLINESS!

"Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among gods? Who is like thee, glorious in Holiness' (Exodus 15: 11). "There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee" (I Sam. 2:2).

2).There is none like Him for the glory of His POWER!

"O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee?" (Psalm 89:8). God has no rival no competitor no one can stand in opposition to His will, purpose or power. "Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee" (2 Sam. 7.22).

3). There is none like Him for the abundance of His MERCY!

"Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He retaineth not His anger for ever, because He delighteth in mercy" (Micah 7.18). God delights to show mercy to those for whom Christ Jesus stood as Substitute and Surety (Rom. 9.15-16).

4). There is none like Him for the effectiveness of His WORK!

"Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O LORD, neither are there any works like unto thy works" (Psalm 86:8). "The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness” (Psalm 111: 7-8). The Lord of glory has never tried to do anything. He has always accomplished His purpose with great effectiveness. He has established everlasting righteousness and complete salvation for His covenant people "I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me" (Psalm 57.2).
