When starting a new habit or a new hobby, the hardest part is continuing after the first week. Working out at the gym and experiencing a "leg day" and unable to be sure if you'll walk again without muscle pain. Or learning to play the guitar and your fingers are in pain and you haven't developed your calluses. Or studying a new topic where you think you have the basics down but somehow you've got all the ideas jumbled up again.

What's the secret to succeeding in these things? Sadly, it is continuing to push through the pain, the fails, the hiccups. It's needing to develop that pattern. The need to get a rhythm or stride. It's keeping the focus of why you're doing what you're doing because you are dedicating an area of your life to that endeavor.
