"Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him." Proverbs 29:20
Have you ever lost it with someone? I mean really lost it; where words were coming out of your mouth faster than you could think about what you were saying. Chances are most people reading this will answer “yes”. The real question is, do you lose control of yourself and your words on a regular basis? In the book of Proverbs, when someone is said to be more hopeless than a fool, we had better perk up and pay attention. When we lack self-control, and carelessly pierce others with our words, we display a serious lack of wisdom. Wisdom seeks to resolve problems in a way that repairs or maintains the relationship. Wisdom seeks to understand through listening and discerning. Wisdom seeks first and foremost, to please God.
