Time Is A Big Indicator Of Spiritual Life (HFG-09)
"How you live is more important than what you believe in." This is a quote from a female, atheist "pastor" in Canada that you might have read about recently. The sad thing is that a majority of people probably believe that to be true as well. What the world understands to be true is usually opposite of what the Bible says to be true. How do we see this? Because whatever our world view is (aka our most basic belief system), that is how we will act. If a person believes people as nothing more than random chance pond scum, they are ultimately treat people like pond scum. If a person believes that one group of people is superior than another, that person is going to act out on those beliefs. If a person sees all people as having the Imago Dei (Image of God), then they will treat the person as being equally created as the Bible says we are.
How do you even determine "how you live" without an ultimate belief system that tells you what is right and wrong? One of the great things about Christianity is that it presents a world view which has a correct view of man, morality, and is consistent within itself.
