If you are a believer, you are deeply interested in representing Jesus well, both to friend and foe. Your most powerful, most convincing testimony will not come from the most well-constructed argument for truth. Instead, it will come from the testimony of your life, a life that is supernaturally being transformed by God as you walk in faith and obedience. Vindication of our personal methods of living is not a worthy goal. But vindication of the wisdom of God is a worthy goal. As we seek to apply God’s wisdom to all areas of life, from child rearing to financial practices, we are placing the wisdom of God before the scrutiny of an unbelieving world. By grace, the criticism of an unbelieving world is hushed as in this case, the wisdom of the child and the glad heart of the father displays the wisdom of God.
