In the fiery furnace of afflictions,

Our testing’s come with hidden blessings.

We sigh with endurance,

And cry out to the Lord in prayer,

All these things we partake of in Jesus.

With fellowship in sufferings,

We enter into Christ,

For he alone suffered for our sin.

Lord, forgive me,

Lord, I often groan beneath sin,

But you have paid for my sin willingly,

And Lord you show me that my trials,

And suffering in you,

Are sufferings in fellowship with Christ.
