When distresses come and troubles arrive if we could escape the circumstances we would take that means of deliverance, as if "on the wings of a dove". We would fly away "Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness". Perhaps you have said I would like to just run away if I could, but given the extent of your need running away would not even come close to resolving the distress of your soul. The only true resolution to this matter is to find your rest in God, “but I will trust in thee." Though you may want a speedy escape in truth God alone can give you rest; this is the only real answer and only God can recover us.
