CALL TO WORSHIP (Tune: Brethren We Have Met To Worship – p. 15)
Glory, glory, I’m forgiven; All my sins are washed away. Christ, by His great blood atonement, All my sin has put away. Sin imputed to my Savior, When He died upon the tree As the Substitute for sinners, God will not impute to me.
Glory, glory, I’m accepted, Robed in Christ’s own righteousness; I’m a child, an heir of heaven, Saved by God’s almighty grace. Christ’s obedience to the Father Is imputed now to me; In God’s sight I’m pure and holy, He declares me so to be.
Glory, glory, I’ll not perish, In Christ’s hands I am secure; He who saved me, sure, will keep me, By God’s grace I shall endure. This is not a vain presumption; I just take Him at His word; Christ has sworn, “They shall not perish Who believe on Me their Lord.”

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1)
There is absolutely no possibility a truly saved sinner could perish in eternal death. The reason for this is the sovereign, powerful grace of Almighty God through the Lord Jesus Christ. God loved us and chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world. Jesus Christ died for us and established righteousness which God imputed to us. The Holy Spirit applies spiritual life and indwells us to keep us clinging to Christ. Jesus Christ is our continual Intercessor and Advocate who pleads for us and keep us forever and ever even unto final glory. None of this is of our own power or supposed goodness. It is all by God’s grace in Christ Jesus. No one can charge us with sin so as to condemn us in the courts of God’s justice, and no one can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. The person who objects to this by arguing it gives people an excuse to live in sin without warring against the flesh and without being brought by the Holy Spirit continually to repentance and godly sorrow over sin knows neither the greatness nor the power of God’s grace within the hearts of His people. The doctrine of the truly saved is salvation totally by grace, and the life of the truly saved is the dynamic of grace. Grace is not simply a doctrine or idea lying dormant in the minds of God’s people. It reaches the heart and bears fruit unto God (Rom. 7:4-6) to the praise of the glory of His grace in Christ Jesus whereby the truly saved walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. – Pastor Bill Parker
NOTHING TALKING ABOUT EVERYTHING!
When it comes to preaching Christ, I am in way over my head! I am a finite creature talking about the Infinite Creator. I am a sinner talking about holiness. I am ignorance talking about knowledge. I am error talking about truth, darkness talking about Light, and unrighteousness talking about Righteousness. I am a tea cup measuring the boundless sea of God’s grace. I am a yardstick measuring eternity. I am a weak voice talking about the Word. I am weakness talking about the mighty God. I am a fallen will talking about His sovereign will. I am an obscure subject on earth talking about the King of kings and Lord of lords. I am water talking about wine, the undeserving talking about mercy and grace and ugliness talking about Divine beauty. I am stupidity talking about Wisdom. I am a wretch talking about Him who is ALL! I am a fallen man talking about THE Man Christ Jesus. I am sickness talking about the Health of men’s souls. I am an undesirable talking about the Desire of the nations. I am nothing talking about the I AM. I am a sinner saved by grace talking about the Savior who saves by grace. I am a miserable creature talking about mercy and a vile prisoner talking about the Deliverer. I am a slave talking about the Redeemer. I am a clay pot filled with the Treasure of all treasures, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is for a number of reasons but I’ll give you two. First, who better to tell of Christ than one He’s shown mercy to and been gracious to? Who better than the chief of sinners such as myself? Secondly, this is so there will be no doubt to any that all the glory goes to HIM! "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us" (2 Corinthians 4:7). I am less than nothing talking about more than everything. Look to Christ and not at me. Hear Him and not me! "He must increase, but I must decrease" (John 3:30).
