Calvinism is NOT a Bible doctrine, but a system of human philosophy (humanism) appealing to the proud mind. John Calvin was a heretic who taught that God predestines men to salvation. Calvin taught “selective salvation” (or “unconditional election”) where God selects who will be saved and who will not. This is a good philosophy (Col 2:8) for a lazy man. What would be the need to go soul winning (Pr 11:30) if God is going to force His robots to be saved when He wants them to and with no choice at all. John Calvin believed God created soul's to go to hell with no chance to be saved. Calvin said, "We call predestination God's eternal decree, by which he compacted with himself what he willed to become of each man. For all are not created in equal condition; rather, eternal life is foreordained for some, eternal damnation for others. Therefore, as any man has been created to one or the other of these ends, we speak of him as predestined to life or death." This doctrine is gaining ground like many other false doctrines just in time for the great decption after the church is caught out. 2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. Instead of burning hearts (Jer 23:29) people have itching ears. ~ V.H. These doctrines appleal to the wicked hearts who have the idol of laziness in their bones and they desire to see these teachings in the Scriptures so they don't have to witness (Ezekiel 14). Calvin had a spirit about him that would kill those who disagree with him. He said, "Honour, glory, and riches shall be the reward of your pains; but above all, do not fail to rid the country of those scoundrels, who stir up the people to revolt against us. Such monsters should be exterminated, as I have exterminated Michael Servetus the Spaniard." This spirit ( 1Jn 4:1) is gaining ground today like wildfire. Between his followers and the Sodomites and the charismatics and the New Evangelicals and the new perversion promoters, the Bible believing christians will be labeled a heretic and the compromisers will want to kill them. See what happend to the apostle Paul, Acts 24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets.
