Today in my reading, Solomon is dedicating the Temple which He built for the Lord. During the dedication serivce, He prays. During his prayer, he asks the Lord to remember His people. "For they are your people and Your inheritence, who You bought out of Egypt, out of the iron furnance."
Solomon asked God to remember, the children of Israel are His people. He is asking God to remember them in mercy when they have sinned.
Today, this thought should resonate in our heart. If you are one who has been born again. You are one of His people. You are one God has chosen before the foundation of the world. When you pray, pray based upon the fact that you are one of His children. Pray seeking His blessing or forgiveness because you are one of His, not because of who you are.
