This verse pictures the Lord Jesus Christ. Solomon was a wise man ( 1 Kg 3:13). But look at the Lord Jesus, Luke 11:31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

Not only was He wise but He was also strong. Matthew 12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. The devil is strong (Job 41:10) but the Lord Jesus can whip the devil any day. On Calvary our Lord knocked the teeth out of the devil and the Bible says he is just "AS a roaring lion" (1 Pt 5:8). Does Satan have a strong hold on you? The Lord Jesus came ", to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;" If you are bound to sin, Jesus is the answer, if you are bound to lust, Jesus is the answer, and all are bound to death (Heb 9:27) and Jesus is the answer. Jesus said in John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

The text also says, "a man of knowledge increaseth strength." Look what the Bible says about the Lord Jesus in Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. Hebrews 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered. The Lord Jesus Christ came and became a man and died on the cross and He knows what you are going through. He understands your tears, John 11:35 Jesus wept. He understands your trials, Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Now Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

So if you need strength, Jesus is the answer. If you kneed knowledge, Jesus is the answer. Colossians 2:3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
