Many find the prospect of taking the gospel onto the streets a daunting prospect! We at #Partick are no different. We find ourselves in a virulent anti-Christian day when Christians are being taken to court, and losing, for simply quoting the bible. Nevertheless, we consider it our duty and an immense privilege to bear witness to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It was with a certain amount of fear and trepidation that we embarked on our first, in recent years, session of open air witness last Saturday outside #Partick Station, #Glasgow. We set up our display table containing a variety of free evangelistic material and bibles, positioned our display boards containing AV scripture texts and began to mingle with those present handing out gospel tracts.
Later on the minister began to preach and to invite people to come and browse our display table. Multitudes heard something from the bible for the short time they walked to or from Partick station or Morrison supermarket; others heard as they waited to catch a bus. It is encouraging to see several stop and listen. Let us hope that the good seed of the gospel was sown and that it will bear fruit.
Weather permitting we hope to repeat our efforts next Saturday and on others days. Whatever the outcome all who took part were blessed in their own souls. Thanks to the congregations and individuals who supported us in prayer. Please continue to do so.
