THE POTENTIAL OF THE HARVEST
When the Lord lifted up His eyes, He saw the multitudes - He saw them as sheep without a shepherd, but He saw them also as a harvest to be reaped. In this challenging sermon, Rev Jim Hartin asks if that is how we see it ? Is the Church today seeing the harvest through the Eyes of the Lord ? Have you ever stood in your local town and watched the people as they walk by ? So many wandering through life aimlessly, knowing not the Lord Jesus as their Saviour. With the widening of the borders of the European community, and the increasing immigration, do we see this as a PROBLEM or do we see the POTENTIAL ? Do we see this as an opportunity for a great harvest field ? Think also of those whose lives have been wrecked by drugs, drink or immorality. Do we see the POTENTIAL there is if they would come to Christ ? Think of the woman of Samaria. The Saviour knew her sin. He knew all about her. Yet HE saw the POTENTIAL which she had. Rev Hartin looks at: 1. The Potential Of The Harvest 2. The Power Of The Harvest Matthew 9:37 'The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few.' As we look all around us We see all the fields as white. They're ripened unto harvest Yet so quickly comes the night. Christian, we must get busy There is so much work to do. Here's an urgent task awaiting you. Souls are crying, men are dying, Won't you lead them to the Cross? Go and find them , seek to win them - Win the lost at any cost !
