You have what you need today. You may feel to be lacking in many areas – resources, intellect, natural gifts. But none of those things are necessary for you to accomplish the tasks God has given you today. What you need, however, has nothing to do with those things. Remember, God does not require from us what we do not have. What you need today is grace to be diligent. God is not impressed with the natural gifts or resources because He is not a respecter of persons. God is impressed with those who depend upon Him for help while fully plunging their energies into the task that lies ahead. Diligence breeds success. What breeds diligence? An understanding that each moment is a gift from God, a gift to be used for His glory and not wasted through slothfulness. So, today, whether in math class or in your walk with God, work diligently, as unto the Lord, seeking His grace to help in time of need.
