"All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out" (John 6:37)."All," not one, or two, or ten, or a million only, but "all." And observe why? They are the Father’s gift to Jesus, and therefore they must come. He said elsewhere, "that I should give eternal life to as many as Thou hast given me" (John 17:2). Hence, therefore, there is a blessed provision, a blessed security, that they shall come; for they are the Father’s gift to Christ, as well as the purchase of Christ’s blood; and the promise is absolute in the charter of grace – "Thy people shall be willing in the day of Thy power" (Psalm 110:3). And, to give every possible encouragement to the poor coming sinner, whom God the Holy Ghost is leading by the hand to the all-precious Jesus, He adds, "And him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out."

“And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1).
BORN DEAD IN TRESPASSES AND SINS
For centuries men have debated the effects of Adam’s fall on mankind. Men naturally want to believe that even though we fell in Adam, that fall simply opened us to the possibility of sin if we choose sin. They claim we are all born innocent and free from sin and remain that way until we make a sinful choice. The problem with this view is three-fold – (1) It opposes plain Scriptural teaching which says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Rom. 5:12). (2) It defies both reason and reality because “ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). Has there ever been one human being in the whole history of mankind who did not choose sin? No! (3) It denies both the Scriptural truth and reality of spiritual death. The Bible teaches that we are all born spiritually dead and there is only spiritual, eternal life in the Lord Jesus Christ and based on His righteousness alone. “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 John 5:11-12).
Spiritual life is the gift of God which comes to us through Jesus Christ and based on His righteousness imputed and applied by the Holy Spirit in the new birth – “And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness” (Rom. 8:10). Salvation is described as a quickening – “And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins” (Eph. 2:1). We know our natural spiritual death is overcome by the power of Christ through the Holy Spirit when that life is evidenced by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, repentance of dead works, and a heart to follow and obey Him in love, grace, and gratitude.
