The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, inerrant word of God (Prov. 30:5). We believe the “holy scriptures” (2 Tim. 3:15) have been preserved in the English Authorized King James Version, and are thereby “given by inspiration of God” (2 Tim. 3:16). See the article by Pastor Walker concerning this subject: Which Version of the Bible should Christians use? Jesus Christ
We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His substitutionary death for sinners, his literal bodily resurrection, and His second coming.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is “by grace through faith” (Eph. 2:8,9) in the finished work of Jesus Christ, and “not by works of righteousness which we have done” (Titus 3:5). We believe when a person is saved they are saved from the penalty of sin, which is a literal burning hell (Psa. 9:17; Luke 16). We further believe in the eternal security of the child of God, that no Christian is in danger of losing their salvation (Rom. 8:38, 39; John 10:28).
Church Ordinances
We believe in baptism (by immersion) and the Lord’s Supper as the only two scriptural ordinances. We believe a person should be baptized after they have been saved (Acts 8) and that the Lord’s Supper is for all who have been born again (1 Cor. 11).
The Church
We believe in two scriptural uses of the word church (i.e. body of all believers, local body of believers). We believe all people who have been born again are a part of “the church, which is his body,” and therefore they should join an autonomous local church. Furthermore, we believe the Biblical church to be an Independent Bible believing (KJV) Baptist Church.
Doctrine
We are Baptist in doctrine, and traditional in music, worship and preaching. We are anti-Calvinistic and dispensational in theology. We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ to rapture all believers (1 Thess. 4:13-18) before the Great Tribulation. We also believe in the pre-millennial return of Christ to the earth (Rev.19,20).
