"The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so." Proverbs 15:7
Has it ever occurred to you, that everyone you know, including yourself, is a counselor? We give out tons of advice every day. This may be a simple conversation where a friend asks for your opinion in a small matter. Nevertheless, any time we give our opinion or any type of advice to another individual, we are acting in the role of a counselor. With that being said, I want to ask you who you have chosen to be your counselors in life? Our text for today tells us that there are two kinds of counsel we can receive, wisdom and foolishness. We should take the time to consider who we are putting our trust in and what they are basing their wisdom on. I’m reminded here of Proverbs 13:20: "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed."
