We are currently studying through the Gospel of John at CEFC. It is striking to observe the extent and reach of the Gospel as demonstrated by the Nicodemus and Samaritan woman narratives in chs. 3 and 4. The Gospel is for the Pharisee (ch3) and the Adulterer (ch4)
The Gospel is for the self-righteous (ch3) and the self-condemned (ch4)
The Gospel is for the Jew (ch3) and the Gentile (ch4)
The Gospel is for the elite (ch3) and the outcast (ch4)
The Gospel is for the respected (ch3) and the rejected (ch4)
The Gospel is for the pious (ch3) and the pitiful (ch4)
The Gospel is for the curious (ch3) and the ignorant (ch4)
The Gospel is for the religious (ch3) and the spiritual (ch4)
The Gospel is for the upper class (ch3) and the lower class (ch4)
The Gospel is for the seeker (ch3) and the non-seeker (ch4)
The Gospel is for men (ch3) and for women (ch4)
The Gospel is for those who think themselves right with God (ch3) and those who know they’re not right with God (ch4)
The Gospel is for those with hidden sins (ch3) and those with visible sins (ch4)
The Gospel is for the “haves” (ch3) and the “have nots” (ch4)
The Gospel knows no boundaries! Whether racial, gender, national, social, geographical, educational, historical, or religious!!
You will find yourself in one or more of the 28 categories listed above. The Gospel is for you!
Christ is the Savior, who came to save sinners. Believe in Him today. Trust in Him as your Savior and Lord. Give Him your life and ask that He would forgive your sin and save your soul. May you experience the new birth - as Nicodemus did. May you drink Living Water - as the Samaritan woman did.
