We could rephrase the first half of this verse and say that “those who live a life of obedience to the Lord can live life with certainty”. Think about that statement. What other source can we place our confidence in, and remain certain that it will provide what it promises? There are many people looking for this source in the world; perhaps you are one of them. There are also many people who have found the reality of this passage to be true in their life; finding the Lord to be their refuge in a world full of chaos. This is the goal of the practical wisdom we find in the Proverbs: that we might honor and trust God. May we find our refuge in Him today.
