My People Shall Know My Name
Isaiah 52:6

My people shall know My name.
They shall all be taught of God.
And there is none other name
Whereby His people must call.

This name above ev'ry name
Is the Lord our Righteousness,
The Lord God, the great 'I AM'.
Beside Him there is none else.

God shall make His people know
In that great day of His pow'r:
Makes them willing to Him go
For salvation in that hour.

Our Savior makes Himself known
Through the preaching of His Word.
He will speak to all His own,
"Your Redeemer is the Lord."

He's the God of all the earth,
The Mighty One of Jacob,
Lamb of God before His birth,
Known by saints and praised above.

Two True Things

People are being lied to by preachers who compromise the truth of God, speak smooth things, brag on the flesh, make God a doddering old grandfather and the Lord Jesus Christ a failing, fumbling, faltering pretender who sure does wish that everybody liked Him. Here is where we are today. A true preacher can tell people who God is, and that the Lord Jesus Christ is not an option but a necessity, and that as God He is the sovereign of all and will either save or destroy forever. The oily preacher comes along and tells the sinner that his freewill is supreme and God can't save unless he allows him too?

Yet in spite of this, the Lord Jesus WILL SAVE HIS PEOPLE! How do I know this? Because the Bible tells me so. Those who believe and teach that Christ died for every man teach contrary to the very character and nature of God Almighty. If Christ died for all men, where is the justice of God? The scriptures say, 'The Lord laid on Him the iniquity of us all, He was wounded for our transgressions". If God laid on Christ all the sin of all men, and the punishment of them inflicted on Christ, yet multitudes of them are punished in hell for them, where is the justice of God? Men say it is unjust to punish for the same crime twice. Would God be just to punish Christ for a man's sins, then punish the man, too if a man pays another's debt, the creditor would not be just to require payment of the debtor. God is just - if Christ paid for my sin or yours by His death, God cannot send me or anyone else to hell for which Christ died.

To believe that Christ died for all men is contrary to the POWER OF GOD. "The Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save". "Power belongeth unto Thee" If all men are not saved, it must be from a want of WILL in God or from want of POWER. They say He wills that all men be saved, so it must be from a lack of power. If that is so, He is not omnipotent! He must be lying when He says He "has all power in Heaven and earth." You will say, it is because they won't let God save them; is man mightier than his maker? "Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherds strive with the potsherds of the earth." I can say without a doubt that all for whom Christ died will be saved, because of the love, wisdom, justice and power of God. - Pastor

Translations of Scripture

If you want a purely historical account of the history of Israel, read the Good News Bible. If you want a purely intellectual account of the Holy Scripture, read the Moffatt translation. If you want a very good version of the Scripture with several shades of meaning to certain words and phrases, read the Amplified Version. If you want a purely modern-day, fundamentalist interpretation of the scripture, read the Living Bible. If you want a very good reference Bible to help you study, use the New International Version.

If you want a fair version that does away with the fact that God must be propitiated, read the Revised Standard Version. If you want a fair version that does teach propitiation, read the American Standard Version.

But if you want to study God's Word with an eye to seeing Christ exalted in all the foundational doctrines of the gospel and of the Person and work of each of the three Divine Persons as they are revealed in one God, you must read and study the King James Version. None of the other versions, either singly or combined, can compare to the beauty and power of the King James Version as it is written. Many of the above versions, in their attempt to make God's Word understandable to the unregenerate mind (whether the common man or the intellectual), destroy the basic foundational truths of our faith concerning God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, sin, salvation, redemption, and God's eternal purpose as they are revealed in the King James Version - Charlie Payne
