Fall is here at Mt. Zion and that means our Annual Missions Conference. We were blessed to have the Pratts to India, the Delhotals – Planting a church in Princeton, IL, the Eckles to Australia, and the Francis’ family to Taiwan. Each night was filled with testimonies, video presentations, and clear, Biblical preaching. On Saturday, over 100 people canvassed our local Jerusalem with literature including a portion of the Scriptures. We so value our fellowship in the Gospel with our missionaries.
We are excited about the new ministries at Mt. Zion including the hand chime choir, the bus ministry, and adopt-a-missionary program. Also, the last Sunday in September, we were able to baptize 5 people and help them obey God in the first step after salvation.
Our missionary, Gina Frey, came home for a month and shared with us how God has used her in Africa and what lies ahead for her when she arrived back on the field. What an encouraging report we received from her!
On the 13th of October, our youth took over the entire evening service as nearly 40 young people sang in the youth choir, and participated in various parts of the service. Enthusiasm abounds as we see the potential leaders grow in their faith and service to God.
In addition to the beehive of activity, on October 1, our church welcomed Pastor Tom & Holly Almanza and their 3 children to Mt. Zion.
Remember the Reformers’ Unanimous (RU) that meets every Friday night from 7 to 9 in our Gym for the purpose of helping anyone who is addicted to anything.
While our attendance is up, there is still a place for you at Mt. Zion. If you are looking for a church home where Christ is exalted and preaching is still the main thing, where there is a place for everyone in your family and people care for one another, and where evangelism and discipleship are emphasized, then Mt. Zion might be the place you are looking for!
