Trouble is certain in life. It has to be this way because we live in a sin cursed world. Trouble come in many forms, come unexpectedly, and often appears overwhelming. The promise to the righteous is that there is an end to trouble. The righteous will be delivered. Sometimes the deliverance comes from a supernatural peace of mind that brings rest even in the midst of the storm. Sometimes, God miraculously delivers from trouble, as he did for the disciples who nearly drowned. Sometimes, the deliverance comes through death, when we escape these bodies of sin. The good news is: there is always a light at the end of the tunnel for the righteous. The wicked, however, also experience trouble, but the difference is that this trouble has no end. It is a hopeless trouble. Are you troubled today? Are you reacting to the trouble as if there is no end, no hope? Place your eyes upon the Deliverer, Jesus Christ. All other ground is sinking sand.
