What is God's justification for accepting you, and allowing you to be in His presence eternally?
The Eternal, Sovereign, Immutable God of heaven and earth will not allow sin to be in His presence. He will only allow those into His presence who are as Holy as He is, only those who are as Righteous as Himself.
Are you without SIN? Are you as Righteous as God? If you are not, then He has no justification to allow you into His presence NOW, nor eternally. The Bible says, “All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.” The soul that sinneth shall die, the wages of sin is death". God is Just. His truth must be upheld, His holiness must be glorified, and His justice must be satisfied. The only way this can be done is; "the soul that sinneth DIE." God must punish sin; He would not be Just nor Righteous if He allowed one sin to go unpunished. His justice demands "death" for your sin. How in the world can you be punished for your sin and be made righteous as God at the same time? I know the answer; do you want me to tell you?
God sent his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ into this world as a Sacrifice for Sin, and as a Substitute for sinners. The Lord Jesus lived a perfect, sinless, obedient life before God. Christ came into this world as God's lamb to Die! Why? As the believing sinners substitute. Only God can satisfy God, but God cannot die. Man can die, but man cannot satisfy God. God and man are united in Christ, the God -Man. As God he could satisfy God as Man he could die. “He was wounded for our transgressions, it pleased the Lord to bruise Him, he saw the travail of his soul and was SATISFIED" (Isa.53). "God Made Him to be sin who knew no sin" I tell you that God inflicted the just punishment for sin, by inflicting death on Christ. For whom did He suffer death for? For those who believe on him with all their heart and soul. The "wages of my sin was paid" by my Substitute, the Lord Jesus. God's Justice has been satisfied, his truth upheld, but what about having a Righteousness that satisfies God? The same way our sins were put away is the same way we are made righteous. “God Made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness OF GOD IN HIM”. Christ's righteousness is GIVEN to them who believe on Him. God is Just to Justify them who believe On Christ Jesus The Lord Christ Is God's justification for receiving me; He is also my only justification before God. Sinners are justified by believing not by doing. - Pastor
Are You Content?
Hebrews 13:5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Are you content? Contentment means in a state of peaceful happiness. It means to be satisfied, gratified and fulfilled. It means to be at ease, at peace, tranquil and serene.
Men and women by nature are not content! Paul tells us in Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation (your way of life) be without covetousness. This is why men and women are not content. They always covet something more, something bigger and better. But Paul tells us by inspiration of the Holy Spirit to be content with the things that we have.
For whether those things are great or small, positions of high or low degree the children of the living God have God’s promise that He will never leave them or forsake them. Now if we can truly believe that then we should be very content, satisfied, gratified and fulfilled knowing that we have Christ who promises to always be with us.
It is good to be content with what you have, but never with what you are. The best thing that we can do for ourselves as believers is to endeavor to be content with the portion God has given us. Living in contentment is a wonderful place to dwell knowing that our God does all things well and always gives us exactly what we need. Lord, teach us to be content! - Pastor David Eddmonson
~~~ O ~~~
I am not sure just how long after the Lord had called out that one thief on the cross that he fell asleep and had a glorious reception in Heaven. I do know this: the majority of his life was spent in sin and degradation! The amazing thing is this; one minute of grace will far outreach a whole lifetime of corruption! Five minutes before death (or not much more that this), this man was a gracious recipient of the free sovereign grace of God in Christ Jesus. Do we linger until death to call upon the Redeemer? Do we wait until the last hour to speak His wonderful name? Absolutely not, yet this case most certainly shows us that Grace is free, Grace is unmerited, Grace is divine and Grace is supernatural! Bless His wonderful name that it is so and will always be so; all to the glory and praise of His great name. - Pastor Drew Dietz
