Tomorrow our summer day camp starts, so we today between services pretty much everybody was busy with final preparations. We have 39 kids signed up, and most of them are new kids. We handed out camp flyers/invitations to church in the area around our church building. We do this every year, the only difference this year being that we tried to do the whole area at once. We are two streets short, I think, but we will do those next week, as well as going to a new area northwest of our church. We hope to get some kids from that area that will continue to come to church. Then that will become an area that we regularly work in and bring kids to church from. We met more people this year in the area around our church that were open to talk and/or interested in sending their kids to our camp than we have in the past. This area is a ger district surrounding the biggest Buddhist temple and monastery in the country. Our church building is about 200 yards from the temple, which houses an 80 foot tall idol. Sometimes we get more opposition in this area, as people think we shouldn't be handing our Christian literature so close to the temple. Anyway, we will appreciate your prayers for these next three weeks of camp. Some of our teens will be helping also. We are always appreciative of your prayers.
