Dear Praying Friends: Major problem with e-mail: For over 6 weeks, our e-mails are intermittently blocked. Sometimes things we send out are blocked; more often, things we receive are blocked – but not completely. If you have not heard from us, that is probably why. If you have written to us personally, and not received a reply, please send or write again. We try to answer ALL personal notes. If we were not leaving for the USA, I would switch servers, but it is possible that the one other internet provider would also have problems. Kim & Ethan have had some missed letters too – but I think that ours are much worse, and after multiple requests to the technical service, we still see no solution. Please join us in prayer.
Dengue quiet: Last week, I had the sudden onset of what was clinically dengue fever, which lasted about a week; I am now definitely much better. Thank the Lord for a Godly wife trained as a nurse who helped me, as well as spoiled me with ice cream… I was well enough to be able to preach on Sunday morning.
Sranantongo Bibles from our fourth printing, and New Testament Commentary first printing are already being distributed. Both look beautiful, and we are most grateful to Bearing Precious Seed and First Bible International for printing them.
Champlin wedding soon: Ethan, Kim, and Joanna Chamlin are in the USA. Seth Champlin will be graduating tonight from Ambassador Baptist College. The family is attending Seth’s wedding in two weeks, and coming back with their second son, Caleb, who will be a junior at Ambassador College next fall.
Volume III of Issues in Missiology is at the printers now. It is on the subject of translation. I am working on Volume IV, which is covering Worldview and World Religions.
Prayer requests:
In addition to prayers for health, strength, and spiritual growth, I would especially ask for prayer for our internet connection during this time of transition of ministry. We also need extra strength as we turn things over to the national leadership and break down the house. Please pray as well for our national leadership as they take over many aspects of the ministry.
