May has been a busy month of follow up from our Spring Revival and graduations. May 7th was our Mother Daughter Banquet with Mrs. Starnes from Linglestown speaking. In the May 8 evening service, four men from our congregation preached for about ten minutes each and did a great job (Bill Heim, Mark Scarborough, Wayne Grimes, and Matt Parks). May 17th, our Ambassadors (age 55+) had a picnic at Teen Haven Camp. Friday, May 20, we had our home schoolers graduation with Mark Waltemyer speaking to the graduates (Erin Dircks, Michelle Merryman, and Jonathan Smeltzer and Justin Grimes from Red Lion High School). May 25th, we had Ra Yoeum and his wife, Missionaries to Cambodia on deputation. May 29th Daniel Urey presented his burden for a short term mission’s trip and internship to Mexico. There were also many camp work days and meetings sprinkled in the May calendar.
However, the schedule only heats up for both assistant pastors for the next two months. Pastor Chris directs camp (and Pastor Bill, junior camp) Mon.-Fri., June 27-July 1. We have 135 campers registered with over 50 from our church. Pastor Bill is also putting together our VBS for Mon.-Fri., July 18-22, 9-11:30 am.
Otherwise, we look forward to hearing a male quartet from Ambassador Baptist College, Lattimore NC on Sunday morning, June 5 in the 9:30 and 10:30 services. Sat., June 11th will be our annual church picnic at 11:15 am. Sun., June 27, 6:30 pm, Evangelist Eric Remus will be speaking.
Remember the Reformers’ Unanimous (RU) that meets every Friday night from 7 to 9 in our Gym for the purpose of helping anyone who is addicted to anything.
Also, if you child attends Red Lion High School, we invite him/her to our CIA Club (Bible Study) in RL High. CIA Club is held on both A & B Weeks every other Tuesday during club hour at 11:45 in room B209. Call our office at 927-9227 ext 2 or ask for Pastor Chris.
