Pastor Greg Elmquist from Orlando, FL will be here Feb.18-20 to preach for us. Remember these dates and try to bring someone to come hear the gospel by this faithful Preacher.
When I Am Weak
When men our Sovereign Lord shall see,
They fall before His feet.
In weakness they cry, "Woe is me.
Have mercy upon me."
Chorus:
Sufficient is God's grace for you.
Your weakness brings His power.
For when you're weak then strong are you.
O make me weak this hour.
The law says I must keep it all
Or I will surely die.
I'm weak in flesh, no hope at all.
On Christ I must rely.
The 'thorns in flesh' do make us weak,
That God's glory be seen.
Take pleasures in infirmities.
Upon His grace do lean.

MISSING THE MARK ROM. 3:23
"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God," some may not be as profane as others, but "all have sinned"! You may be a fine mother a loving daughter, chaste and very moral, receiving praise from all who know you but... if you have not received Christ by faith, and His righteousness has not been charged to your account you are no better off before God than the vilest harlot there is. There is no difference, all have sinned and missed the mark and have come short of God’s glory.
There you are O man, sitting easy; you are regarded as honest, having the respect of all who know you. You pay your debts, you love your wife and children, you work hard to provide for their needs, yea even their wants. But what about your needs, your wants before God? Do you trust Christ right now? Is He alone your righteousness before God’s holiness?
If He is not, then you are no better off than the rapist and child abuser in prison. There is no difference, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God! "The glory of God" is the standard for human life. Not what our wives and children, nor what our neighbors or mothers and fathers have set for us!
It is easy to believe that the whore and whoremonger, the liar and murderer come short of the glory of God, but... so are you, "There is no difference, all have sinned and are falling short of the glory of God. "The righteousness by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all, for there is no difference (Rom. 3:22)."
This is the only remedy for coming short of God’s glory. This righteousness is received by faith in Christ. It is a gift, not an award for your merit or your works. Remember, “ALL have sinned.” “0 how sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His word. Just to rest upon His promise, just to know “Thus saith the Lord.”
Where there is faith in Christ, there is acceptance, reliance, dependence, and confidence, all of which are opposed to self-effort, self-reliance and self-confidence.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
Salvation is the work of God for man; it is not the work of man for God. Salvation is the bestowal and actual impartation of eternal life; it is not the beauties and artificial imitation of ethical living. Salvation is the imputed righteousness of God; it is not the imperfect righteousness of man. Salvation is according to the faithful calling of God; it is not according to the fitful carefulness of man. Salvation is a divine reconciliation; it is not a human regulation. Salvation is the canceling of all sin; it is not the cessation from some sin. Salvation is being delivered from, and becoming dead to, the Law; it is not delighting in, or doing, the Law. Salvation is divine regeneration; it is not human reformation. Salvation is being acceptable to God; it is not being exceptionally good. Salvation is completeness in Christ; it is not competency in character. Salvation is possessing every spiritual blessing; it not professing any special betterment Salvation is always and only of God. It is never of man. It is the unsearchable riches of Christ. It is to good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

WORDS OF AN ANCIENT PREACHER
For every one who shall not confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is antichrist: and whosoever shall not confess the testimony of the Cross, is of the devil; and whosoever shall pervert the oracles of the Lord to his own lusts and say that there is neither resurrection nor judgment, that man is the firstborn of Satan. Wherefore let us forsake the vain doing of the many and their false teachings, and turn unto the word which was delivered unto us from the beginning, being sober unto prayer and constant in fastings, entreating the all-seeing God with supplications that He bring us not into temptation, according as the Lord said, The Spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak.
